Okay, so lets look at the standings so far, now that Super Tuesday is over.

Total Delegates (The electoral college votes):
    Hillary Clinton: 1033
    Barak Obama: 937

    Delegates still undecided: 2053
Delegates needed to win Democratic ticket: 2025

This means that Clinton is 51.01% towards winning, and Obama is 46.27%. But, with less then half of the delegates committed so far, it's impossible to say who will win. In other words, this is a really close race so far, as far as Democrats are concerned.

Also, something fun, John Edwards managed to grab 26 delegates... good job!

As far as the Republicans go...
    John McCain: 714
    Mitt Romney: 286
    Mike Huckabee: 181

And the Republicans need 1191 delegates to win their ticket. In other words, John McCain is going to win, he has 59.95% of what he needs and Mitt Romney only has 24%, less then half of what McCain has.

So my guess for the presidential ballot is going to be Clinton or Obama vs. McCain. Hopefully Obama.

Also, a side note, these numbers are estimates. And, Oregon has 52 delegates on the Democrat side and 30 on the Republican side.

  • LoL, Politics

So, who will be the next president of the United States? Well, let me rephrase that, who will be the most powerful man in the universe, the leader of the free world, and have direct control over the largest and strongest military force known to man? Sounds a little different that way, doesn't it.

There are a variety of options available to us. Some of them are good, free thinking people while others arn't so good. The real trick here, is to sort out which issues are important to you, and what is just bullshit.

Now, lets pick one issue specifically, say the War on Iraq, and break down some of these candidates positions.

Question: Did the candidate vote against the war in Iraq, and against continueing the war in Iraq?

    A:
No (the candidate voted FOR the war): Biden, Clinton, Dodd, Edwars, Obama
Yes (the candidate voted AGAINST the war): Kucinich

Question: Did the candidate vote AGAINST giving Bush funding for a war with Iran?

    A:
No (the candidate voted FOR giving Bush funds for Iran): Biden, Clinton, Dodd, Edwards, Obama
Yes (the candidate voted AGAINST giving Bush funding for Iran): Kucinich

Question: Does the candidate take donations from corporations?

    A:
Yes (the candidate ACCEPTS corporate money): Biden, Clinton, Dodd, Edwars, Obama, Richardson
No (the candidate REFUSES money from corporations): Kucinich
Unknown (the candidate doesn't know where his money is from!): Gravel

Anyways, it's really up to the voters to decide who they like. Choose wisely, read the fine print (remember the part about the leader of the free world and the most powerful military force known to man? It's worth taking the 15 minutes to read everything...), and remember to register / vote!

    Checking In

Yeah, so I forgot about my Xanga again, surprising, isn't it. =P Anyways, just wanted to drop in real quick and say hi. Finals are finally over, and summer has started... sort of. Most of my time will be spent working, but it shouldn't be that bad. There is one great thing about having worked at Target... and that is the simple fact that no other job could possibly be worse! I had to work early mornings (4am on most days, sometimes as early as 3, and sometimes overnight from 10pm until 6am), in a store that really isn't doing well and that values speed over accuracy and safety. Most of the people I worked with were nice... but as they say, it only takes a couple sour apples to ruin the bunch, and that is so true with Target. Another nice, applicable cliche is that the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. I'll let you figure that out.

Anyways, this new job is in a warehouse for a textbook company. Standard 40 hours a week from 8am until 4:30pm (half hour lunch) at $10.25 an hour. I start on Monday.

Anyways, for those who are not aware, I no longer live in Wilsonville, but have instead moved with Woodburn. Also got a new phone number, which you are welcome to email me and ask for, but I'm not slapping it out on the internet. Anyways, time to go buy an amplifier to hook up the TV to the surround sound, yay. In all likelihood, bye bye for another few months.

  • Today's The Day!

Alrighty then! So, clearly I decided to go ahead and revamp my Xanga site with a completely new style. It has been 1,052 days since I first opened my Xanga site, and I have changed the style a grand total of 3 times. I got a layout and changed and customized the code for it over the past 2 weeks to become what it is now. I'm still in the process of editing it, so it may still be a little while until it's up to perfection, but this is it so far. Now, why today? Well, the big reason is, this morning was my last day of work, woohoo! So I finally have time available to do things. I can actually sleep past 3am and stay up later than 8. It will be tight! I have also updated my personal info, such as by adding a list of my Christmas loot to the left side of the page. The reason for the countdown in my previous entry was more for me to keep a goal in mind when I had to go to work, because as anyone who worked there can tell you, it's god damn hard to make yourself go. The money =/= the work load. So the motto is: Never work for Target. Thanks!

    Xanga Site To-Do List:
    1) Change top image and include version number and customizability
    2) Change 'Christmas Loot' sub-section to include links
    3) Realign all image to fit a 100% width instead of a 800px width
    4) Change table settings to reduce some border sizes to 0 to remove extrenuous lines (only visible at a window width greater than 800px)
    5) Increase pixel resolution of images to create crisper lines on higher definition displays
    6) Due to image changes, remove hotlinked images and rehost
    7) Add images to bottom of page instead of just using table lines to finish the page so it doesn't just drop off
    8) Change Java code to cooperate with Mozilla (Currently in FireFox, the buttons change from black to green instantly, instead of fading in. Not an issue in Internet Explorer)

  • Two Weeks!

Word, I have two weeks left of class, then finals, then summer! I am seriously so ready for summer. I think I may have a good shot at a job already. I will probably be working Flow at Target. What that means is that I go into the store at around 4 am and begin to unload the trucks and restock the store. Now I'm sure your thinking this is hard... actually I just use those little things that look like forklifts but that you push around and some hydrolic lifts, so meh, shouldn't be to bad, besides, I needz the moneyz!! My hours would be around 4am - 11am or so every day, but in exchange for that, my starting salary is higher, and I get a bonus 50 cents an hour just because I have to start at 4 am. Meh, should be interesting... ya... interesting... right...

About Me

  • Well, I guess it is finally time to get serious about this bugger. So here we go, this will only be updated when I actually feel like updating it.
